SANGHAR: Policemen seek completion of training

By Our Correspondent

SANGHAR, July 27: Under-training policemen of the Police Training College, Shahdadpur have demanded completion of training before their assignment on emergency duties in operations against outlaws.

Talking to this correspondent on Sunday, they said their training had started on Oct 20, 2003, and it was to be completed in six months. They said some 510 policemen had been sent to Shah Belo to participate in the operation against bandits and Pano Aqil in connection with the Mahar-Almani dispute.

They said their passing out had been linked with the return of the under-training policemen from Shikarpur and Sukkur. They said their batch fellows in railways police and motorway police had passed out about 45 days ago but their fate hangs in the balance. They had also staged a sit-in against delay in passing out last week when DIG training Rana Altaf had visited the PTC.
