HYDERABAD, July 26: A resident of Goth Pir Bux Solangi, Gulistan-i-Jauhar, Block-10, Karachi, has accused a former revenue officer of depriving him of 23 acres of land in Karachi through fraud.

Speaking at a news conference at the press club here on Monday, the man, Pir Bux Solangi, said he owned the 23 acres of land in his village which was surrounded by bungalows and flats and was valued at Rs1 billion.

He said he decided to sell four acres of his land to a retired revenue officer, Khan Mohammad Mahar. He said he agreed to sell of the land for Rs10 million. He said Mr Mahar gave him an old car as token money and later Rs200,000 in cash. He said the man also spent Rs500,000 on documents.

Mr Solangi said he recently learnt that the former officer had taken over possession of the entire land through the documents. He demanded that action should be taken against the former revenue officer and the registrar concerned, DO and Mukhtiarkar should be warned against making any entry in the record of rights.
