MIRPURKHAS: Woman seeks probe into son's death

MIRPURKHAS, July 25: A two-year-old boy, Faizan, son of Talib, died in the paediatrics ward of a local hospital reportredly because of absence of doctors on Saturday. The child, who was suffering from fever, was brought to the hospital's emergency ward.

He was admitted to the paediatrics ward where there was no doctor. The paramedical staff sent the boy and his mother back to the emergency ward. The mother of the victimblamed doctors and administration of the hospital for her son's death and called for an inquiry.

It may be mentioned that four days back a 12-years-old boy, Om Parkash, son of Lelo Bheel of Rana Jagir, Umerkot taluka, died in the hospital due to absence of doctors.

SUBSIDED FLOOR: The Tharparkar district has received 70,000 wheat bags as special quota for providing flour on subsidised rate to people. The Tharparkar district nazim has directed the chakki owners to sell flour at Rs11 per kilogramme.
