KARACHI: Karachi to be made IT hub - Minister


KARACHI, July 25: The Sindh Minister for Information Technology, Syed Mustafa Kamal, on Sunday said the Sindh government was working to make Karachi the hub of IT activities , calling upon the KESC to play a significant role in achieving this goal by providing a better power supply.

He said this after the inauguration of a 250 kva PMT in Gul-e-Rana Colony, Soldier Bazaar. The KESC chief engineer, Shabbir Solangi, Maj Iftikhar Ahmed, deputy chief engineer A. H. Parchani and others were also present.

Appreciating efforts of the KESC engineers, Mr Kamal said the corporation was carrying out development work of its power supply in consultation with elected representatives. He also expressed satisfaction over the pace with which the KESC was carrying out its system improvement plan. - PPI/APP
