LAHORE, July 23: Discarded Test batsman Misbahul Haq will captain Pakistan 'A' in the three-nation tournament in Nairobi, Kenya next month.

Taufiq Umar, the regular Test opener, was named as the vice-captain of the 14-member squad that was announced on Friday for the event that also features hosts Kenya and India 'A'.

The team leaves for Kenya on Aug 2. It will play a four- day match against Kenya from Aug 4, before featuring inthe tri-nation tournament starting from Aug 11 with the opener between Pakistan 'A' and Kenya.

All teams will play three matches against each side. The final will be played on Aug 21. The Pakistanis play India 'A' on Aug 13, 16 and 19.
