QUETTA, July 23: An accused wanted by a law-enforcement agency kidnapped police officer Abdul Majid from the Sui bazaar on Friday and the local administration claimed that the abductor had personal enmity.

Police said efforts were underway to get the official freed through tribal dialogues.

District coordination officer Dera Bugti Abdul Samad Lasi told this correspondent on telephone that Abdul Majid sub-inspector of Sui police station after dropping SHO at his house in Bugti colony was back on way to bazaar alone in a vehicle when Tota Marta and his accomplice wanted by police abducted him.

The DCO further said that according to the initial reports Tota has complainants against the victim for committing excesses against him saying the abduction was a personal dispute, however the administration was doing its best to recover the police officer.

Replying a question Samad Lasi said that ADO Dera Bugti has approached Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti chief of Jamhoori Watan Party and SHO Dera Bugti police station to help recover the official.
