MIRPUKHAS, July 20: Due to water shortage in the River Indus and the Nara Canal, the executive engineers of Mithrao, Jamrao and Thar divisions of the Sindh irrigation department have announced water rotation programmes in their areas.
According to the programme of Mithrao division, Tori minor, Dhaliar minor of group-A of Sanghar sub-division and direct outlet from mile-0 to Kinhar will be closed on July 22. In group-B, the Dilshad distributary and the Bugti minor will remain open from July 22 and will be closed on 30.
In Sindhri sub-division of group-A, the Palli distributary, Sindhri and Saifal minors and direct outlets from Dhoro Naro to Bareji will be closed on July 24. Doso distributary, Hingoro minor and direct outlets from Kinhar to Dhraro will be opened on July 24 and closed on August 1.
In Samaro sub-division, Bhurgari distributary, Qabool pipe, Agarki minor, Lolan distributary, Old Soonthi and New Soonthi minors and direct outlets from Bareji to Khani will be opened on July 16 and closed on 24.
Sohrab and Samaro distributaries and Chach and Chhatto minors will be opened on July 24 and closed on August 24. In Nabisar sub-division, Kunri and Rahore distributaries, Ashabo and Kinjhi Ji minors and direct outlets from mile-0 to 12 will be closed on July 23.
Nabisar minor, Nain minor system, Bustan and Sanwri distributaries and direct outlets from 12th to 21st miles will be opened on July 23 and closed on 31. In Naokot sub-division, Sher and Ran distributaries, Sohri minor and direct outlets from 16th to 22nd miles will be closed on July 28.
Bhan, Bilalani, Fazal, Darelo and Akro minors, Silore pipe, Akoti distributary and direct outlets from zero to 16th miles will be opened on July 28 and closed on August 3.
