DADU, July 18: Federal Industries and Production Minister Liaquat Ali Jatoi has expressed his dissatisfaction over the pace of work on development projects being carried out in the district.

He was speaking at a meeting of officers of different departments at the DCO's office here on Saturday. The minister said officers concerned had started works at wrong locations which would not benefit people.

He criticized the officers for not resolving problems of residents, adding that the officers were not ready to meet people and listen to their grievances. He warned that action would be taken against such officers.

Mr Jatoi said Senate Chairman Mohammedmian Soomro had informed him that the officers were using delaying tactics in the work on a Dhamal court and other schemes at the shrine of Qalandar Lal Shahbaz.

He said work on the new vegetable market and bus terminal would be started within 15 days. The minister said Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim had promised special funds for development works in Dadu.
