HYDERABAD, July 16: The Hyderabad Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education here on Friday announced the result of the Secondary School Certificate Part-II (General Group) annual examination 2004 held in March.

Abdul Subhan, son of Ameeruddin, seat No131007, of the M. D. Oriental College, Hyderabad, was declared first with 688 marks; Abdul Hafeez, son of Gul Hassan, seat No133537, of the Bhan Saeedabad Government High School, secured second position with 664 marks; Sikandar Ali, son of Gohram Khan, seat No133519, of the Mehar Ali Jamali Government High School, got third position with 661 marks.

Shazia, daughter of Allah Rakhio, seat No132166, of the Tando Mohammad Khan Government Girls High School, was declared first with 662 marks; Erum Fatima, daughter of Mohammad Saleem, seat No129595, of the Piggott Memorial Girls High School, got second position with 656 marks; Kanwal Bhatti, daughter of Safdar Jamil, seat No129497, of the Government Girls Pilot Secondary School bagged third position with 651 marks.

A total of 2,280 candidates appeared in the examination, out of which 1,516 were declared pass while the result of 80 students was withheld. Ratio of successful candidates was 68.9 per cent.

SU ADMISSIONS: Sindh university admissions director Mohammad Saleh Rajar here on Friday notified that forms for admission in BHPEd and MHPEd programmes 2004-05 were available from HBL branches, Hyderabad and Jamshoro campuses.

He said that forms would be available to interested candidates on payment of prescribed fee up to July 31 and added that candidates having a bachelor's degree with minimum 45 per cent marks would be eligible for BHPEd, while for MHPEd, BHPEd degree with minimum 45 per cent marks was required.

Last date for submission of forms by hand at the admissions director's office, AC-II section, or the director, the Centre for Health and Physical Education, Jamshoro, has been fixed as Aug 2.

Aptitude test/interview/trial for BHPEd will be conducted on Aug 16-17; for MHPEd, the same will be conducted on Aug 18-19 at the Centre for Health and Physical Education. Final list will be announced on Aug 25 while admission fee may be deposited from Aug 26 to Sept 15. Regular classes will commence from Sept 1.
