SUKKUR, July 15: At least 20 labourers were injured when a tractor-trolley collided head-on with an oil tanker on the National Highway in the Babarloi police station jurisdiction near here early Thursday morning.

The injured, including Wahid Bux Golo, Surti, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Ibrahim, Noor Mohammad Golo, Abdul Razzaq and Ali Raza, were taken to the Khairpur Civil Hospital where condition of three of them was said to be critical.

The labourers were on their way to Babarloi in the tractor- trolley. Police impounded the oil tanker while the driver escaped.

INJURED: Three persons, Din Mohammad Bhangar, Nazeer Ahmad Chandio and Ali Haider Chandio, were injured when a speedy wagon hit their motorcycle on the Moro bypass on Thursday morning.

They were taken to a Moro hospital. Police impounded the wagon. The driver escaped.

KILLED: Four robbers shot dead a man when family members offered resistance to them in the Mir Pitafi village, Khanpur Mahar police station jurisdiction, on Wednesday night.

The robbers barged into the house of Ali Gohar Pitafi and tried to take away buffalo. They opened fire when the inmates woke up and offered resistance, killing Mr Pitafi, 30.

DIED: A Hesco lineman, Ziauddin, who was injured after falling from an electricity pole while working in Daharki, died at the Sukkur Civil Hospital, on Wednesday night.
