Notes with Japan exchanged

ISLAMABAD, July 14: Pakistan and Japan have exchanged notes concerning contribution of supplies and services to the armed forces or other similar entities of Pakistan in accordance with the Anti-Terrorism Special Measures Law.

The exchange of notes took place on Tuesday in Tokyo between Japan Foreign Affairs Minister Yoriko Kawaguchi and Pakistan Ambassador Kamran Niaz.

In extending assistance to Pakistan under the Anti-Terrorism Special Measures Law, the notes were intended to guarantee that the supplies and services to Pakistan would be utilized in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations and that they would not be transferred to third party without prior consent of Japan. -APP
