KARACHI: Better law, order must for uplift, says Ibad


KARACHI, July 14: Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan has said that the objective of development can be attained only with an improved law and order. The heads of all departments will have to put in their abilities and efforts for the purpose.

He was talking to provincial ministers, advisers, senior police officials and other prominent figures who called on him at the Governor's House here separately on Wednesday.

The visitors included Minister for Auqaf Sardar Manzoor Hussain Panhwar, Minister for Culture and Tourism Shabbir Ahmed Qaimkhani, Adviser to the Chief Minister on Excise and Taxation M. A. Jalil, DIG Police (Operation) Fayyaz Leghari, DIG (Training) Col Shahid Qureshi and eminent writer Fatima Surayya Bajia.

Dr Ibad acquainted himself with performance of the functionaries and directed them to ensure community's participation and cooperation in different affairs. -PPI
