Al QUDS, July 11: A young female Israeli army surgeon was killed in Sunday's bomb blast near a bus stop in Tel Aviv, military sources said.
Maayan Naim, 19, from a southern suburb of Tel Aviv, was declared dead on arrival at hospital after the blast in the commercial capital at the start of the morning rush hour. Twenty other people were also wounded in the blast.
Her death brought the toll since the September 2000 start of the Palestinian intifada to 4,177, including 3,180 Palestinians and 926 Israelis. -AFP
