Livestock sector has potential: EU envoy


ISLAMABAD, July 11: Ambassador of European Union (EU) Michael Dale on Sunday said the livestock sector in Pakistan had great potential.

Talking to a delegation of Pakistan Livestock Homeo Research Scientists Association, headed by its president Dr Hafiz Mohammad Mattiullah, the EU ambassador said livestock researchers had been successful in discovering curatives for diseases related to livestock, especially the Foot and Mouth Disease.

The delegation apprised Mr Dale of latest homeo research in the field of livestock. They informed the EU ambassador that FMT, a homeo medicine for the treatment of the Foot and Mouth Disease, had produced excellent results during trials conducted by different research institutions.

Mr Dale lauded the efforts of homeo scientists for the successful invention of curative. "This effective treatment against the disease must be made available to the end users so that the animals can be saved." -APP
