NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, July 11: Adviser to the Sindh chief minister for livestock and fisheries Faqeer Jadam has said that a bank loan scheme for the sector will be launched in a few months , which will enable people to set up fish, dairy and poultry farms.
Talking to journalists at the circuit house here on Sunday, he said that the loan scheme would not only help entrepreneurs in setting up earning units but would also bring down the rates of dairy and poultry products.
He also said that the livestock and dairy development board would be re-constituted soon, members of which would be taken from each district with committees formed at district level.
Meanwhile, livestock assistants complained that district officer Nasrullah Soomro was taking illegal monthly gratification's from them as well as from inspectors and veterinary doctors posted in the district.
Three assistants - Rahim Bakhsh Vistro, Salahuddin and Baqar Khan - who refused to pay the bribe, were suspended by the said DO, they added. Following the complaint, the adviser reinstated the three assistants and ordered that the district officer should be suspended immediately.
Furthermore, he said that he had taken serious notice of encroachments on government farmlands in Nabisar, Tando Mohammad Khan, Khudabad and other areas by influentials.
