Postal ballots facility for Tharparkar, Attock voters

ISLAMABAD, July 10: The Election Commission on Saturday announced that the government servants, members of the armed forces, holders of public offices , their wives and children, who are registered voters, can exercise their right of vote through postal ballots in the upcoming by-elections in Attock and Tharparkar.

The Election Commission also said that persons detained in jails or held in legal custody were also entitled to vote through postal ballot.

The last date for submission of applications by the voters of constituencies NA-59 Attock-III and NA-229 Tharparkar-I to the returning officer for issuing postal ballot is July 30. The last date for sending applications for postal ballot by the government servants deputed on election duty has been set for August 5.

Application forms are available with all the returning officers. Photocopies of these forms can also be used for the purpose.
