SHEIKHUPURA: Gas pipeline explodes

SHEIKHUPURA, July 10: The main gas pipeline exploded here on Saturday in Kharianwala on the Faisalabad Road. However, no causality of life and property was reported.

The explosion occurred when the FWO team was busy in the dualization of the road.

The gas supply to industrial and domestic consumers was reduced for several hours.

A similar pipeline explosion had taken place near Khanpur three days back.

The SNGPL officials reached the spot and started operation.

SHOT DEAD: A landlord was shot dead by his rivals over a property dispute here on Saturday in Rehmanpura.

Reports said Anwar Virk (55) of Nabipura was sitting in the house of Saleem, a property dealer, in Rehmanpura. Meanwhile, Javaid and others came, exchanged hot words with the landlord and killed him.
