QUETTA: 'Minister's favourite TMO unacceptable'

By Our Correspondent

QUETTA, July 10: The provincial minister for S&GAD's insistence to appoint a town municipal officer is unacceptable for nazims and naib nazims as it is affecting the administrative and development work , says Naib Nazim of Zarghoon Town Abdul Khaliq.

He was speaking at a press conference at the local press club on Saturday.

He said that the town nazim, Abdul Qahar Wadan, had asked the local police to register an FIR against the town municipal officer, who, he said, for illegally occupying an office and was using 10 armed men in this regard.

He termed it amazing that the TMO was transferred on Wednesday and the new TMO had assumed the charge on Thursday.

He said that if the government did not respect the resolution passed by the town council regarding the TMO's transfer, then the work in town would come to a standstill.

He said that the city nazim, Mohammad Rahim Kakar, had visited the town office on Saturday and assured the nazim that elected representatives should not bow before bureaucrats who wanted to fail the new system.
