DHAKA, July 10: A sacked additional High Court judge of Bangladesh, Shahidur Rahman, has lost his advocate certificate and subsequently the right to practice law in any court in the country.

The Bangladesh Bar Council decided to cancel the judge's advocateship certificate on June 21, while it informed registrar of the Supreme Court on Saturday. The Bar Council also asked the registrar to put up the issue before the Chief Justice and other judges of the Supreme Court.

The Bar Council took the step as Rahman was reportedly seen to move a case before a High Court bench last week, an official of the Council said.
