KARACHI, July 8: The Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians's Karachi president Muzaffar Shujara and general secretary Habibuddin Junaidi on Thursday criticized the government for its failure to arrest the killers of Abdullah Murad and Munawwar Suharwardy.

Speaking at a protest camp in front of the Press Club Mr Shujara said that they had been protesting for many days but the government still failed to arrest the killers of the PPP leaders.

Mr Junaidi said the government had failed to maintain law and order in the country and the people were being killed on the busy roads. He said that the PPPP believed in peaceful struggle for restoration of actual democracy in the country, and they were peacefully protesting against the murders of their leaders.

If the killers were not arrested, the protest movement could be extended to country level, he said, adding that the protest would be continued till the arrest of the killers. Meanwhile, scores of the PPP workers staged a protest camp in front of the Press Club. -PPI
