KARACHI, July 4: Two young men were shot dead and two others were wounded in Khudadad Colony on Sunday night. Police said that Khushnood Khan, Nazeer Ahmed, Hameed and Khushia were sitting at a footpath near Quba mosque in Khudadad Colony when armed men on motorcycle opened fire at them and fled.

Khushnood Khan, brother of UC Nazim Masroor Chacha, and Nazeer Ahmed died on the spot while Hameed and Khushia were injured. They were taken to the Liaquat National Hospital, where the injured were given treatment.

Following the incident, panic griped the area and streets wore a deserted look. In Baldia Town, three persons were wounded in exchange of fire between two notorious groups.

Police said that the groups of Yaqoob Mada and Shahid Chand had been harbouring rivalries against each other. On Sunday, they exchanged fire wounding three people. They were taken to Civil Hospital for treatment, police said.

INJURED: A man was shot at and injured in Auliya Village on Sunday, adds APP. Police said that unknown armed men opened fire at Rahim Bakhsh, 40, son of Ghulam Muhammad, near Bohri Qabrastan, Auliya Village. They fled as the victim received bullet in his thigh. The injured was taken to Civil Hospital for treatment. Doctors said that his condition was not serious.
