LISBON, June 30: Hosts Portugal reached their first European Championship final when they beat the Netherlands 2-1 on Wednesday. Portugal will play either Greece or the Czech Republic in the final on Sunday.
Portugal dominated the first half and forward Cristiano Ronaldo put them in front with a header from a Deco corner in the 26th minute. Captain Luis Figo also hit the post with a fine left foot shot. -Reuters
