KARACHI, June 30: The Sindh Board of Technical Education (SBTE) has issued warning to a private college not to introduce any diploma or TEVT course, not recognized by the board.
Taking notice of an advertisement that appeared in a newspaper about launching of "Diploma in Computer and Businesses Skill" by Noor College of Professional Education, Garden East, SBTE's chairman, Prof Dr Masroor Ahmed Shaikh, in a letter to the said college's administrator said SBTE was the only one authorised to organise, regulate, develop and control technical, vocational and commercial education below degree level in the province.
He stated the said advertised diploma or other TEVT course were not recognized by the board, National Review Committee or Curriculum Wing, Ministry of Education (MOE). All diploma level courses offered by SBTE were approved from NRC and MOE and standardised throughout Pakistan, he added. - PPI
