KARACHI, Jan 26: A man was shot dead near his home in Kharadar on Saturday.Police said the man was present at a roadside eating place in Kaghzi Bazaar, Kharadar, when unknown people shot him dead and fled.

The body was shifted to civil hospital, where he was identified as Asif, 28, employee at the said eating place. Police described the motive behind the killing as personal enmity.

ACCIDENTS: Four people died in road accidents in various areas of the city on Saturday.

Two friends on a motorbike were knocked down by an unidentified speeding vehicle on Mauripur Road near truck stand.Police said, Syed Sadaqat Ali and Qudratullah, both in their mid twenties, were killed on the spot.

The unknown vehicle sped away after the accident. The bodies were shifted to hospital for autopsy.

A speeding Al-Mashriq coach overturned near Bilal Chowrangi in Korangi, killing a passenger and injuring 12 others.

Police said the deceased was identified as Shama Noor, 22. The injured and body of the decease were shifted to JPMC. Police impounded the coach, but its driver escaped from the scene.

An elderly man died after being hit by an unknown vehicle in Shershah.

Police said, Muhammad Sharif, 60, was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident near Pankha eating shop. Later he died.
