KARACHI, June 25: The second phase of KCCA annual talent hunt programme begins with Under-19 Inter-zonal cricket tournament starting from June 27 at TMC ground.

The inaugural match will be played between Zone-II Whites and Zone-VII Green.

KCCA has asked all the zones to direct their players to appear for facial scrutiny on Sunday at 9.00am in proper cricket attire. Players born on or after Sept 1, 1985 are eligible to appear in the event.

16 zonal teams divided in four groups will be featuring in the event.

Team will be divided in four groups:-

Group"A II-Whites, VI-Blues, III-Blues, VII Greens,

Group"B" VII-Whites, v-Whites, I-Blues.

Group"C" IV-Whites, III-Whites,VII-Blues, v-Green

Group"D" I-Whites,VI-Whites, II-Blues, v Blue.

To facilitate eight top teams to play an extra match as quarterfinal two teams from each group will qualify.

All the matches will be played on 50 overs basis. To promote fast bowling the first ten overs in each innings will have to be bowled by a pace bowler having a run-up of 12 or more steps. -APP
