Sanjrani new Sindh chief secretary

By Our Staff Reporter

ISLAMABAD, June 25: The federal government has appointed Mohammad Aslam Sanjrani chief secretary of Sindh in place of Dr Mutawakal Qazi, sources told Dawn. Dr Qazi, a grade-22 officer, had been made officer on special duty.

Mr Sanjrani, a grade-21 officer of the secretariat group, was working as additional secretary, establishment division, before his new assignment.

The sources said that the change had been made on the request of Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim. More such changes were expected in a few days on the request of the chief minister as the federal government had announced that it would give him a free hand to take steps for the restoration of peace in Karachi.
