KARACHI: Three die in road accidents

KARACHI, June 25: Three persons, including a woman, died in road accidents in different parts of the city on Friday. Syed Nisar Husain was hit and injured by a private car at Numaish traffic section.

Muzaffarul Haq, who was driving the car, took the wounded to the nearby Hashwani Hospital, where he died. The victim was a resident of Federal B Area.

In Gulistan-i-Jauhar, an elderly woman died in a hit-and-run accident near Jauhar Chowrangi.

Police said that Sita, 90, was crossing the busy roundabout when a speeding car knocked her down. She was taken to a nearby private hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The vehicle escaped from the spot following the accident.

In Shershah, a man was knocked down to death by a speeding vehicle. Police said that Qudratullah, 30, was knocked down by a speeding vehicle near Gul Bai Chowk. He was taken to the Civil Hospital where he died during treatment.
