KARACHI: Centralized admission policy approved
KARACHI, June 25: The city nazim, Naimatullah Khan, has given his approval to the Central Admission Committee (CAC) for conducting admissions to first year classes in the city's colleges for academic year 2004-05 through the Central Admission Policy (CAP).
The CAC comprises principals of prominent colleges and elected city council members. While, EDO Education Rais Alvi will be the committee's chairman, nazim's Co-ordinator for Education Nasim Siddiqui will represent the nazim, and Prof Muhammad Asghar will be the secretary.
Committee members include Mahboob Hussain Siddiqui, Prof Syed Azhar Hyder Naqvi, Prof Zahir Ahmed, Prof Dr Tanvir Anjum, Muhammad Afzal, Prof Muhammad Aslam Khan, Prof Kafil Ahmed, Prof Anis Ahmed Zaidi, Prof Naimuddin, Prof Syed Riaz Ahsan, Prof Razia Zafar, Prof Mudassar Kamal Qureshi, Prof Manzoor Hussain Chishti, Prof Nasim Imam, Prof Farkhanda Hussain, Mrs Fakhar Karim Siddiqui, Reehana Afroz, Shamim Mumtaz Wasi, Saifuddin and Tausif Ahmed Khan.
As per policy, all admissions to colleges would be given on a central basis, and the process would be totally transparent and computerised.
All male and female students succeeding in matric examination would get admission, according to nazim's directive.- APP
