KARACHI, June 23: Chandna registered an overwhelming victory by opening their account in the Karachi Cup bridge tournament on Tuesday. It was a superb performance as they had no match in every field of the game.
Their bidding was superior and the table play far better.
Two matches were played as two strings of KC, KC Reza against Chandna and the other KC (Akber) settled their score against Aces. KC Reza with Ashfaq Tola, Reza Naqvi, Asif Godel and Muhammad Zubair made no impact on Chandna. The winning team scored 60 IMP to net maximum 25 Victory Points (VP).
Chandna having Shakeel Chandna, Ghulam Mohmmad, Jamal Nizami and Gulzar Bilal in their fold netted one swing after the other to return with a convincing victory. In the second match between KC Akber and Aces, the former registered a 29 IMP victory when Aces provided them some tense moments.
However, KC Akber comprising Akber Hayat Khan, Tahir Dada, Jam and Raza Ali Hoda put up a great performance in netting swings by virtue of their bidding and playing powers. Anwer Kamal, Irfan Sadaat, Tanvir Mazahir and Mehmood Siddiqui played for Aces.
