US accused of spreading terrorism

By Our Staff Reporter

RAWALPINDI, June 19: Central general-secretary of Jamaat-i- Islami Syed Munawar Hassan has said the United States is sustaining heavy losses in all countries where it has imposed its so-called war on terror.

He was speaking at a youth convention of Jamat-i-Islami at the Rawalpindi Press Club. He accused the US of spreading terrorism in the world through its war on terror. The incidents of Abu Gharib Jail has exposed its intents before the whole world. The inhuman treatment meted out to the prisoners has sent shock waves all over the world and created hatred against the US, he said.

The JI leader said gross human rights violations also occurred in America. Therefore, it does not behove the Muslim rulers to extend blind support to the US, he maintained.

Muslims are facing atrocities in many parts of the world, especially in Palestine, Iraq, Kashmir. Despite being independent and sovereign, the Muslim countries are like slaves, Mr Hassan said, adding that its main reason was the wrong policies of rulers.
