LARKANA: Protest against killing of PPP leader

LARKANA, June 19: People's Party Parliamentarians activists took out a protest procession here on Saturday against the murder of Munawar Suhrwardi in Karachi.

Larkana PPP acting president Ayaz Soomro and MPA Ghulamullah Mahoto led the procession that emerged from the PPP office.

The protestors chanted slogans against the government and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement.

They assembled at the Pakistan Chowk where they burnt tyres and staged a sit-in.

The activists later converged outside the Jinnahbagh.

Speaking on the occasion, leaders of the party accused the Muttahida of killing Suhrwardi, terming it a targeted killing.

They said the PPP leadership could not tamed by killing of party leaders Abdulllah Murad and Munwar Suhrwardi.

They demanded early arrest of the killers.

CM DUE TODAY: Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim will arrive in Larkana on Sunday.

He will meet taluka and union council nazims of the Larkana city and delegations of growers and the Larkana Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
