Culprits to be arrested soon, says Rashid


RAWALPINDI, June 11: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Sheikh Rashid Ahmad on Friday said that probe is under way on Karachi incident and culprits would be arrested soon.

"Efforts are on to nab the responsible of Karachi incident and to maintain law and order in the city," he said while talking to journalists after attending the Istehkam-i-Pakistan conference held here at Jamia Serajia Nizamia.

When asked, Mr Rashid said he is optimistic that the situation in Karachi would improve, however some time is required in this regard, he added. He denied any infiltration at borders and said: "We know how to defend the country's borders." Earlier, addressing the conference Mr Rashid said the government has formulated strong policies to make the country more strong and powerful.

Acting MMA president Qazi Hussain Ahmad said both government and opposition should work together for peace and harmony in the country. He said unity among Muslims is the need of the hour and efforts should be made in this regard. -APP
