ISLAMABAD, June 8: The Punjab Sports Board (PSB) is demanding a hefty sum of money from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) as per an agreement signed in the late 1960s.

Director general of the PSB, Khawar Shah, told Dawn that the PCB had not honoured a contract that states the cricket board will pay 20 per cent of the income it generates from the Qadhafi Stadium.

"Ever since the contract was signed the PCB has not paid a single penny to us which we have been demanding because the land belongs to us," Khawar said. "We are trying to solve the matter with the help from federal government and have also written to the Senate Standing Committee on Sports in this regard."

A PCB spokesman said that they were looking into the issue and hopefully the matter would be resolved.
