ISLAMABAD, May 30: The deputy chief of Jamaat-i-Islami (Punjab), MNA Mian Mohammad Aslam, has said Pakistan's religious circles are in favour of improving relations with India, but there will be no bargain on Kashmir.
The JI leader was talking to party workers in I-8 and I-10 sectors here on Sunday. He urged the government not to accept any pressure on it's principled stand, and warned that any sign of weakness could cost the country its freedom.
The MNA pointed out that peace could not be restored without justice and without guaranteeing freedom to the Kashmiris. "Kashmir is the key obstacle in maintaining good relations with India and the dispute must be resolved by providing Kashmiris' right to self-determination," he added.
