Kuwait seizes 50kg heroin from Pakistani container

KUWAIT CITY, May 29: Kuwait customs authorities at Shuwaikh port have foiled an attempt by some individuals to smuggle 50 kg of heroin into the country.
According to details, the contraband was seized from a container shipped from Pakistan to an undisclosed Kuwaiti Company. The shipment was made by a Kuwaiti Shipping Company Al Bahar, Dawn learnt through reliable sources.
The bill of landing showed the container contents as wooden planks and glue.
However, when inspectors opened one of the glue can they found a nylon bag-containing heroin.
