ISLAMABAD, May 29: Interior Minister Faisal Saleh Hayat has said noose around terrorists has been tightened and they are feeling that their safety has been endangered in the country. In a state of confusion they might try to strike back, the minister told BBC Radio.
Referring to recent bomb blasts in Karachi, he said this was a move made in frustration.
They were trying to foil the government's security measures but they would not be able to achieve their objectives, he said.
To a question, he asserted the blasts did not occur near the US consul-general's residence.
He said the government was trying to control such incidents but it was difficult due to the large population of the city.-APP
