KARACHI, May 26: Pakistan Peoples Party, Karachi on Wednesday deplored the recent attacks on the places of worship of the Hindu community, and declared support for the community's planned sit-in at the governor house.

Addressing a news conference, Haji Muzaffar Shujra, president PPP Karachi said attacks on places of worships was a manifestation of the government's failure to protect the life and property of citizens.

Meanwhile, PPP MNAs and MPAs ridiculed Muttahida Qaumi Movement's allegations of terrorism against the party, and demanded that instead of accusing others as "terrorists", the MQM-led government should confiscate all illegal weapons.

They further alleged: "Muttahida has made a deal with the government, according to which, it will remain silent on retrenchments, unemployment, the proposed Kalabagh dam, Greater Thal Canal and other important issues of Sindh."
