MUZAFFARABAD, May 24: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is processing a $80 million multi-sector rehabilitation project for Azad Jammu and Kashmir in what is believed to be the first ever ADB intervention in this region in the wake of the improved India-Pakistan ties.
An ADB mission had visited Muzaffarabad last month and held discussions with AJK officials on the sectors requiring bank's intervention. An ADB official told Dawn that the mission had identified electricity distribution system, rehabilitation of damaged schools and roads and urban infrastructure.
