PM leaves for Saudi Arabia

ISLAMABAD, May 23: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali left here on Sunday for Saudi Arabia on a five-day official visit. He was seen off at the airport by Information Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed , Minister for Religious Affairs Ijaz-ul-Haq and other senior officials.

Speaking to newsmen before his departure, he said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoyed excellent brotherly relations and expressed the hope that these ties would continue to grow.

The prime minister said he would exchange views with the Saudi leadership on bilateral, regional and international issues. He is likely to call on King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz. He will also hold substantial discussion with Saudi Crown Prince and First Deputy Prime Minister Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz. -APP
