LAHORE, May 22: The action committee of city cricket associations has alleged that some Pakistan Cricket Board officials are trying to sabotage the purpose of its meeting with the board chairman on Monday.

The chairman of action committee, Aamir Hayat Khan Rokri, said that the board's officials were persuading some clubs to issue statements against the committee.

He said that those officials were doing this only to promote their vested interests by damaging the process of negotiations between the committee and the board.

Rokri pointed out that PCB Chairman, Shaharyar M. Khan, was not aware of the situation and the negative tactics of those officials would create hurdles in solving problems.

It may be mentioned that the action committee wants Shaharyar to restore the general body of the board, end of ad-hocism in the board, clear dues of the city associations as share of gate money of various home series.

He appealed to the chairman to look into the matter and take action against those officials.

Meanwhile, other members of the action committee including Prof Sirajul Islam Bokhari of the Karachi City Cricket Association, Azhar Zaidi, a member of the action committee, Mian Munir (Punjab), Tariq Mahmood Inayat (NWFP), Syed Ihtaram Shah (Mardan), Aamir Nawab (Swabi), Gul Muhammad Kakar (Quetta), Liaquat Ali (Pishin) also condemned the tactics of certain PCB officials and urged the chairman to stop them from indulging in unfair practices.
