KABUL, May 19: At least four members of the ousted Taliban and two government troops were killed in two separate clashes in Afghanistan, officials reported on Wednesday.
Two Taliban fighters were killed after members of the Taliban raided a government office in Zabul province on Tuesday, a local official said. Two government soldiers also died.
Two Taliban fighters were killed the same day after ambushing a government convoy in Waza Khaw district of Paktika province to the east of Zabul, an official said, adding that a civilian driver and local policeman also died in the gunbattle. -Reuters
