NEW YORK, May 19: Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri met ambassadors/representatives of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) member states on Tuesday and exchanged views with them for exploring further avenues to expand cooperation.

Mr Kasuri said "we explored the possibilities in which areas of interests to the region we can project SAARC's point of view in various United Nations committees, specially on trade matters".

"We will also decide to explore the possibilities of a Saarc representation at the United Nations and various suggestions were made which will be considered at the Council of Ministers meeting in Islamabad", he added. The South Asian representatives met at a luncheon hosted by Pakistan's UN Ambassador.
