ISLAMABAD, May 18: National Assembly Deputy Speaker Sardar Mohammad Yaqoob has said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman has been nominated leader of the opposition in the NA.

Talking to reporters on Tuesday after a function here, the deputy speaker said that the decision to nominate Fazlur Rehman as leader of the opposition in the National Assembly has been finalized while its notification would be issued before the budget session.

He said the pre-budget session of NA would begin in the third week of May and was expected to continue for two weeks, while the budget session would be summoned in the second week of June. -APP
