KARACHI: Two stabbed to death

KARACHI, May 14: Two persons, including a 14-year-old girl, were stabbed to death in different areas on Friday. Police said that unknown persons barged into a house in Madina town, Quaidabad, on Friday morning.

They stabbed Erum Shahzadi, 14, to death and fled. Her parents had gone to work and there was nobody in the house except Erum and her one-year-old sister when the incident occurred. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for postmortem examination.

Police suspect some personal enmity as a possible motive behind the murder.

In Saeedabad, a middle-aged woman was killed by unknown persons.

Police said that Jamali Khatoon, 40, was alone at her house when unknown persons came and stabbed her to death. "They used knives and slit her throat," police said. Her body was shifted to the Civil Hospital for autopsy.

Police suspect some personal enmity as a possible motive behind the killing, as no valuable was found missing from the house.
