KARACHI, May 14: A three-day exhibition titled 'All about lifestyles' got under way at the Expo Centre on Friday afternoon. At least 102 companies are taking part in the exhibition organized by the Dawn Group of Newspapers.

One of the organizers said the exhibitors had set up 105 stalls in the three halls of the Expo Centre. She said the exhibition had started after the Friday prayers, adding that on Saturday and Sunday it would be open to the public from 11am to 10pm.

She said a food street had been established outside the halls where at least 26 vendors were selling various food items.

The organizer said that the strike had no effect on the exhibition which attracted as many visitors as it had done in the past. She pointed out that the number of visitors increased towards the evening.

She said a park with lampposts and fountains had been developed outside the halls. She added that the park had two theme corners containing Japanese garden style plants and flowers and one cactus corner.

The organizer said works of students from the Karachi School of Arts were on display in the corridors of the Expo Centre. She said a movie theatre had been set up where family films were being screened non-stop. She said a children's corner had also been set up where puppet shows, magic shows and interactive games were being held.
