PIA increases fuel surcharge

ISLAMABAD, May 13: The Pakistan International Airlines Corporation (PIAC) has enhanced the additional fuel surcharge for international travelling, ranging from Rs200 to Rs700. However, sources said the fares had not been increased.

A spokesperson for the airlines here said the additional fuel surcharge for Europe, United Kingdom, Canada and Far East had been increased by Rs350 one way and Rs700 round trip if the tickets were purchased in Pakistan. In case the tickets are purchased abroad, the surcharge would be charged in $6 and $12, respectively.

For Gulf, Saudi Arabia and the Middle East, the additional fuel surcharge has been determined at Rs200 one way and Rs300 round trip for tickets purchased in Pakistan and $3 and $5 if the tickets are purchased abroad.
