Kyrgyz Speaker due today

ISLAMABAD, May 10: Speaker of the Assembly of Kyrgyzstan, Borubaev Altai Asylkanovich will arrive here on Tuesday on an eight-day visit to Pakistan, official sources said here on Monday.

Speaker of the National Assembly Chaudhry Amir Hussain will receive the distinguished guest at Islamabad airport. Mr Asylkanovich will meet Foreign Minister Khurshid Kasuri, Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz on Wednesday. The Speaker National Assembly will host a dinner in the honour of the distinguished guest the same evening.

The Kyrgyz Speaker is also expected to call on President Gen Pervez Musharraf. likely to hold discussion with the Pakistani leadership on exploring ways and means to further strengthen cordial ties between the two countries.

During his stay in Islamabad, the Kyrgyz Speaker will also meet Chairman Senate Mohammedmian Soomro, Commerce Minister Humayun Akhtar Khan and will pay a visit to the Quaid-i-Azam University. He will visit Lahore on May 14 and Karachi on May 16. -APP
