Asif shifted to Karachi

RAWALPINDI, May 6: PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari was shifted to Karachi from Islamabad on Thursday night, official sources told Dawn here on Thursday.

Mr Zardari, who was admitted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) declared as sub-jail, was driven straight to the Islamabad airport amid tight security for his departure to Karachi by flight PK-319.

Mr Zardari has been shifted to Karachi where he will appear before a court of law in connection with the hearing of cases. Deputy Superintendent of Police Malik Naseer was accompany him.
