KHAR, May 6: The administration in the Bajaur tribal region deported some 20 Afghan refugee families to their country on Thursday, officials said.
An official while citing reasons for the deportation of the refugee families said that the deported families had animosity with each other and few days back one of the accused had demolished 12 houses of the rival group.
He said that the dispute was creating law and order situation in the region therefore the administration immediately deported them to their country. The families were driven to the border where they were handed over to the Afghan officials.
For the first time the political administration deported a large number of refugee families to Afghanistan. Officials said that the local tribal elders had also lodged complaints with the authorities demanding to remove displaced people from the area.
