By Our Staff Reporter

LAHORE, May 4: The Punjab PPP is holding its parliamentary party's meeting here on Wednesday (today). It is for the first time after the formation of the joint opposition in the Punjab Assembly that the PPP is holding its separate parliamentary party meeting.

The meeting will discuss some MPAs' proposals regarding improving party's performance in the house, besides discussing various internal issues. Punjab president and opposition leader Qasim Zia, who has recently visited Dubai to meet chairperson Benazir Bhutto there, is likely to read out a message of the party leader about working of the MPAs.

The participants will also be assigned the task of visiting camps in their respective jurisdictions being staged to protest against Gen Pervez Musharraf in six divisions of the Punjab on May 8.

These divisions are Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, and Dera Ghazi Khan. Under a party decision, one protest camp will be set up in each provincial assembly constituency. In Lahore, there are 25 PA seats.
